These pages look reasonable on my browser when printed to A4 at 75% size.
They do not look too bad when viewed at a width of 90 to 100 charachters.
The text has to be quite large to match the maths. If I make the formulae any smaller, they are not so easy to read. This is because my Acorn RiscPC produces "Antialiased" font. It mixes in pixels of different shades of grey to deceive the eye into thinking the text is smooth. Unfortunately, HTML seems to use rather large pixels somewhat spoiling the effect.
This web site has been written on an Acorn RiscPC and viewed using Fresco at 1024x768 screen mode with a 17" Vision master monitor. It has been checked on a PC with Netscape 3 Gold and Microsoft Internet Explorer at 800x600 on a 13" monitor.
